Player eligibilty...

Generally power skating camp is open to hockey and ringette players, while skills camp is hockey only.

 

Please refer to camp description for ages of specific programs.

Designed for...

Players looking to take defenceman skating and skills to next level. Majority of the camp will be individual skills so different skill levels is easily handled and players are grouped when necessary

Power Skating Camps

  • Explosive backward crossovers and efficient striding

  • Powerful transitions

  • Deep edges

  • Proper body and stick position

  • Puck and ring may be incorporated but not a focus

  • Competition races with multiple transitions

Skills Camps

  • Explosive backward crossovers and efficient striding

  • Powerful transitions

  • Deep edges

  • Evasive maneuvers

  • Proper body and stick position

  • Lots of pucks will be incorporated

  • Different stickhandling variations, targeted towards Dspecific  movements

  • Simulated Blueline tactics and movements

  • Read n React drills 

  • Potential 1on1 if skill groupings are close enough
