Missed a Session? Here’s How to Make It Up...
At Breakaway, we know life on the ice can get busy — sometimes schedules overlap with other hockey or ringette commitments, or injuries happen. That’s why we offer a structured make-up process to help players stay on the ice whenever possible. While make-ups aren’t guaranteed, our system is designed to give families the best chance of finding a spot that works. By following the steps below, we can work together to keep things organized, fair, and stress-free for everyone.

MAKE-UP / CANCELLATION
CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations and refund requests are subject to an administrative charge of 25% of total camp fee or fees if registered in multiple camps. Fall/Winter - There will be NO REFUNDS or CREDITS given to cancellations within 30 days of camp start date. Spring & Summer - There will be NO REFUNDS or CREDITS given to cancellations within 60 days of camp start date. ** If a player is injured and will miss parts or the entire camp Breakaway will need a signed doctors note and will at its discretion determine an appropriate credit to provide in a voucher, no refunds will be provided.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR MAKE-UP SESSIONS?
Make-ups are available only for players who miss a session due to: Conflicts with Minor Hockey, HSL/FSL, or Ringette schedules (proof required) Injury (proof required) Illness (proof required) Make-ups are not available for general scheduling conflicts outside of hockey/ringette.
WHAT PROGRAMS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR MAKE-UPS?
Yes - Fall/Winter & Spring Make-ups are allowed within the corresponding season. NO - Summer/PD Day/Semi Private/Christmas/Single Date
ARE MAKE-UP SESSIONS GAURANTEED?
No. Make-ups are subject to availability and capacity. Sending all conflicts and preferred times in one email gives you the best chance of securing a spot.
HOW MANY SESSIONS CAN BE MADE UP?
You can make up a maximum of 30% of your program (e.g., 3 out of 10 sessions).
WHAT SESSIONS CAN I JOIN FOR MAKE-UPS?
Make-ups must match your age/skill level and price point. For example: All Levels cannot join High Performance sessions, unless player meets the pre-requisite age/skill level.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I NEED TO GIVE?
Must be made at least one week in advance.
WHERE CAN I FIND AVAILABLE MAKE-UP SESSIONS?
